TechCrunch50 was amazing place to Launch Mobnotes

This week we've been a Demopit at TechCrunch50 and announced the launch of Mobnotes. The show has been great for Mobnotes, with have met dozen of VC’s, got at least some good ones, I hope. Also without being finalist I think it was a great opportunity to be there, all this was well-worth 12.000 miles long trip (we are from Milan, Italy). I could make huge networking, I have met other Italian entrepreneurs who really help me a lot, among other countries, Italian were just few companies, outside the Valley ones.
(In the photo Gino Micacchi, Matteo Fabiano e Christian Grassi).

The Folks, during the sessions long break, come restoring and pass through the demopit booth companies and we could make many, many demos to a very good quality audience, like blogger, journalist (good pitch AFP news, we were the only demopit company cited, thanks a lot!).
I was personally impressed by panelists and experts sessions, question and answer right after stage was a good idea, I also could make 2 pics with Marissa Mayer and Chad, two really big. Marissa is a lovely person in real.
Someone who I hadn't met before but really impressed me a lot was Yossi Vardi (ICQ inventor), a real one-man show, beside the fact who is a very clever man. Also very good night parties, Myspace first day very fun, missed the second day party we were dead at home after demopitting all the day. The closing party, leads by Loic Le Meur and its seesmic. He spent extra time to walk the entire line outside at his closing party to care about the line and he personally made the line with Michael Arrington himself and took a minute or two at each person. A French gentleman! Some Americans should learn….

I will suggest to next start-up launch, it was a very positive and huge experience; Yammer the winner of this year contest, in my opinion was not the company I would told to win, but that’s is only my opinion. I noticed that both Mint and Yammer were already funded (last and this year winners), so it might be a good rule suggestion for next TechCrunch 2009 not allow to stage the funded companies? More start-up like feeling…

All this was well-worth the price and we would highly recommend it for any start-up that wanted to launch their company and product, don’t miss next year and apply.

It was great to meet the Mobnotes guys at TC50, the only 100% Italian company there! Definitely a great app and demo, by the way. Try it.
